Frequently Asked Questions

Common questions from parents taking their first steps with us.

Do I need a referral to get started?

No referral is needed! You can contact us directly. However, if you have one from your pediatrician, it can help us understand your child's specific needs and may be required for insurance coverage.

How long does the initial assessment take?

Our comprehensive assessment typically takes 2-3 hours over one or two visits. We work at your child's pace and take breaks as needed to ensure they're comfortable.

What should I bring to the first appointment?

Bring any previous evaluations, medical records, school reports, and a list of current medications. Also bring your child's favorite toy or comfort item to help them feel at ease.

Can I stay with my child during sessions?

Absolutely! We encourage parent involvement. You can observe sessions, and we'll teach you techniques to practice at home. Your presence helps your child feel secure and confident.
